This is interesting that this new revelation about the movie Avatar is coming out now as opposed to last month when the Avatar actually debuted. A neighbor down the hall, Brittany Caplin, came to me a couple of days ago to propose a new way of looking at the recent hit movie Avatar. She was telling me how multiple people were saying that the movie Avatar was just playing upon a common theme of the white man coming in and taking advantage of a unique civilization. She drew a connection saying that it was on the same line as the kids' movie Pocahontas. Like John Smith, a white man, comes to the Native American tribe his people destroy the native people and their land and then he goes off with one of their own, Pocahontas. Even though I have still not seen the movie Avatar I can get a sense that it is following the same lines as the Disney movie.

In the end though a Avatar movie is not just based upon the story plot, the graphics, animation, and music play a vital role in the story telling process. I was informed by my brothers that the graphics were amazing especially enhanced with the aid of 3-D glasses, which should definitely count for something. The Avatar world the director created visually was majestic and beautiful and had to have taken a whole lot of creativity.
